There Are Two Types of Master's Degree in Singapore

• Graduate studies by course work : It consists of masters and professional courses, and students have to submit projects towards the end of the course.
• Graduate studies by Dissertation/Research : It is a research-oriented master’s course. In this, students have to do research work and submit their thesis within a specific period after the commencement of the system.

Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria

Students have to fill the form, which is available online. After filling out the form, the evaluation of the application is done by the university. Evaluation is done based on the following factors- previous degrees, academic record, reference, test scores & work experience. Candidates must submit their entry examination scores.

Eligibility Criteria

• GMAT/GRE Requirement: For admission to the top university in Singapore, one should need to qualify for GMAT/GRE. GMAT score should be above 6.50.
• English Requirement: Students need to qualify for English language exams such as TOFEL & ISLETS. The score depends on the university. Sometimes Malayalam University English Test is also accepted. The score for qualifying TOFEL is 80 to 100, and ISLET is 6.0 to 7.0
• The student should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.



NOTE: Bachelor’s degree should be by the Master’s degree they have opted for.

• Work Experience: For MA fine arts and other similar courses, students must have work experience. Candidates of the age of 30 or above holding a diploma degree should have a work experience of a minimum of 5 years. For STEM courses, candidates must hold two years of work experience in IT or Operation related work.

Work After Completing The Degree

Students who are willing to stay and work in Singapore after completing the degree receive a visa extension of 1-3 months. Once they get employed, they receive an S pass by ICA. On the other hand government institution & leading foreign campus of overseas universities issue long term visit pass. LTVP allows a permit of 1 year. The average salary offered is 70,000 SGD annually.
