GRE stands for Graduate Record Examination and is administered by Educational Testing Service. It was established in 1936 by the Carnegie Foundation. GRE is a test given for admission to Canada, the United States, and few others. GRE tests your skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis, and vocabulary (college level). It leaves a significant impact on your application for graduate school. There are no such criteria to appear for the GRE except that the candidate must have an undergraduate degree. It assesses the undergraduate learning of a student. It is a computer-based exam with multiple-choice questions related to a particular subject. For example, MCQ in biology is 190.
